Information for Families
Family Counselling
Family separation impacts the whole family. We help families to move on in a positive manner and assist parents to prioritise their children’s needs.Parent Counselling and Support
The best outcomes for children occur when their parents are able to engage in an amicable co-parent relationship which includes effective communication and a mutual focus on the best interests of the child.
Sue can assist you to improve your co-parenting relationship in a way that you are comfortable with.
Individual Counselling
Prosper Psychology offers individual counselling. We do not need to see both parents to be able to offer advice, support and motivation for change.Child Counselling
Sue offers counselling for children who are struggling with issues related to their parents’ separation.
She use a variety of evidence-based interventions to assist children to express their feelings, regulate their emotions, reduce their anxiety and generally improve their well-being.
It is optimal that both parents undertake an initial appointment to provide their knowledge and perspective about their child/ren.
Therapeutic Contact Program
Sue offers Family therapy in the therapeutic contact program.
Sometimes families require more than family therapy to assist them to rebuild their relationships.
The therapeutic contact program offers families the opportunity to address resist/refuse dynamics by engaging in therapeutic “time with” sessions between a parent and child/ren,
supported by therapy sessions. This offers the possibility of a smooth transition to supervised or unsupervised time outside the service. This may be reportable or non-reportable.
